Holy Week on Both Sides of the Equator

The Lord is risen! He is risen indeed! Alleluia!

This past Holy Week we began by singing our Palm Sunday “hosannas” on one side of the equator. After traveling north of Nairobi to Meru on Maundy Thursday, we celebrated our Lord’s victory over sin, death, and the devil and his resurrection from the dead on the other side of the equator.

No matter what hemisphere, the crucified and risen Jesus is Lord of all. He is ever present with His Church and, come what may, the gates of hell will not prevail against it.
