East Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Detroit has called me to be a deployed “Missionary at Large to the Tri-County Metro Detroit Area”.
Since East Bethlehem is an under resourced Word and Sacrament ministry in the city of Detroit, I will be responsible for raising 100% of my own funding (salary, health care, benefits, ministry costs). This financial support is an ongoing need and a formidable challenge but the Triune God, through the gifts of churches and individuals, is superabundant in His provision.

All gifts received to this designated fund are deposited into an account restricted for the support and deployment of the “Missionary at Large” position through East Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Any gifts received in excess of the deployment’s needs for a given year are held and carried over for use during the next fiscal year.
My deployment as a “Missionary at Large” by East Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Detroit, MI is adapted from the Network Supported Missionary (NSM) model. This method of financial support is used by the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) in the calling and deployment of its International and Domestic missionaries.
